Module License
This is a translation for convenience; the Ukrainian version prevails.
1. Paid module code — under the platform’s license
Paid id13dev modules are extensions for open-source platforms, so their program code is distributed under the free license of the platform the module is made for. The name and text of the license are in the LICENSE file in the module archive.
The code is open, with no ionCube: you can read it, adapt it to your store and use it in accordance with that license.
2. What a purchase includes
- access to the module files in your account (“My modules”) for one live domain given in the order;
- free use on test copies of that website: localhost and subdomains for development and testing (for example, dev., test., staging.);
- lifetime updates; support for 12 months from the date of payment (see “Support and Updates”);
- moving the license to another live domain — free of charge, on request to help@id13.dev; after the move, the module is no longer used on the previous domain.
Another live domain requires a separate purchase.
3. What the platform license does not cover
- the id13dev name and logo, documentation texts, covers and other website materials — they may not be used to distribute the module under your own name;
- updates and support for domains the module was not purchased for.
4. Free modules
Free modules are provided free of charge under a public license (Article 51 of the Law of Ukraine “On Copyright and Related Rights”). Its full text is the LICENSE file in the module archive; in short:
- you may use the module with no time limit on any number of stores — your own and your clients’, including in their commercial operation;
- you may install it for clients as part of your services — you may charge for your work, but not for the module itself;
- you may modify the code for your own needs or for a specific store;
- you may redistribute the module free of charge in unmodified form — together with the license file, the author’s name and a link to the original source;
- without separate written permission you may not sell or resell the module (including a modified one), bundle it into paid packages, themes, “module packs” or pre-configured paid installations, publish it on paid marketplaces or distribute it behind any paywall;
- you may not pass the module off as your own work or remove authorship notices; modified versions may not be published under the same name without stating the changes and a link to the original source.
The module is provided “as is”; free modules come without guaranteed support. Breaching these restrictions automatically terminates the license for the infringing party.
5. Type, territory, term, fee
The license is non-exclusive and is valid worldwide for the term of the economic copyright in the module. The fee is the module price at the time of purchase; free modules are free of charge.
6. Warranty
The module works on the platform and PHP versions listed in its specifications. Refunds in case of a defect are covered by the “Public Offer” (section 6).
